Ruler on Ice Wins Belmont Stakes while wearing PINK and ORANGE



Ruler on Ice wins the 143rd running of the Belmont Stakes.

 My sister Ashley used to love horses and introduced me to horse racing back in 2002. I remember my first trip to Arlington Park, where I went in with $11 bucks and left with $109. What a day!

Yesterday was another exciting day at the races (well, on the couch for me.) As I watched everyone talk about either Shackleford or Animal Kingdom winning the race, and as they seemed so sure of themselves, I inwardly wished the underdog, Ruler on Ice, would win. At 24 to 1 odds, Ruler on Ice pulled off a huge upset. And his jockey was wearing orange and PINK.

Gotta love that!
